My therapeutic approach incldes Lifespan Integration, Interpersonal Psychology, Person Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Imago Therapy for couples, Motivational Interviewing, Body Centered Psycholtherapy, Psychodrama, and Multicultural Counseling. approach the counseling relationship from a point of view that is holistic, person centered, honest and nurturing. I work primarily with adolescents and adults in need of individual, couple, group, and family counseling. I have extensive experience in chemical dependency counseling. Client problems commonly addressed include relationship issues, codependency, substance abuse, body image, low self esteem, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, women's issues, spiritual and life transitions. I have special interest in helping families with children and siblings who have disabilities. Counseling modalities include Health Psychology, Mindfulness, Body Centered Counseling, Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, and Body Centered Psychotherapy.
I work with individuals and families with concerns such as adoescent transitions, addction, negative body image, eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, spirituality, and life transitions, chemical dependency in the family, and chronic pain issues. I lead a weekly group for women in recovery from addction.
Insurances Accepted:
First Choice, KPS, Uniform, Lifewise, Premera Blue Cross, and Molina. I am also on several Employee Assistance Programs including Wellspring Family Services and First Choice EAP. Sliding scale is available for people of low income with no health insurance.
