I approach the counseling relationship from a point of view that is holistic, person centered, honest and nurturing. I work primarily with adolescents and adults in need of individual, couple, group, and family counseling. I have extensive experience in chemical dependency counseling. Client problems commonly addressed include relationship issues, codependency, substance abuse, body image, low self esteem, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, women's issues, spiritual and life transitions. I have special interest in helping families with children and siblings who have disabilities. Counseling modalities include Health Psychology, Mindfulness, Body Centered Counseling, Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, and Body Centered Psychotherapy.
