Therapeutic Style and Specialties:

I use a variety of well researched counseling techniques, tailored to each individual’s needs. These include cognitive/behavioral therapy, insight-oriented counseling, motivational interviewing, and family systems based therapy. I use the Prepare and Enrich program for premarital and couples counseling, and the principals of John Gottman, a well known expert on happy marriage. All clients are also offered the option of Christ centered counseling. Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor and the Holy Spirit provides us with the power we need to make the changes we so deeply desire; therefore at the client’s request we will use prayer and Biblical principles during our session. Since all truth is God’s truth, none of the social science based methods I use conflict with the teachings of Jesus. .
