Therapeutic Style and Specialties:
I'm all about understanding what my clients are seeking from
counseling, and then collaborating on client centered, user friendly
approaches for generating small, realistic and achievable steps toward
goals. I focus on presenting skills for increasing self-awareness and
skill based solutions for the change the client desires.
I'm
particularly interested and successful in treating anxiety and
depression associated with self-esteem and relationship issues. I
offer treatment for a full range of anxiety disorders. I welcome
work with individuals, couples (all combinations of partnerships),
adults, and adolescents. Group therapy is also a
specialty offered as needed and after careful screening for shared
treatment issues and client fit.
My educational
preparation in counseling includes a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology
from the University of Washington and a Master's Degree in
Counseling Psychology from Saint Martin's University in Lacey, WA.
For
the last 16 years I've enjoyed continued education on newer methods of
therapy through workshops and classes offered for therapy
professionals.

Group Health, Uniform, Basic Health, Premera Blue Cross and Private Pay are preferred,
other insurances will be considered.
