Inpatient
Hospitalization
Fairfax Hospital provides short-term, acute care crisis stabilization for both voluntary and involuntary patients and a secure setting. Treatment programs focus on crisis stabilization. Inter-disciplinary treatment teams including psychiatrists, nurses and case managers provide individualized treatment planning. An active therapeutic treatment model includes group and individual therapy. The facility provides separate units for adults, children and adolescents, and our Chemical Dependency Unit that serves patients undergoing medical detox and treatment for Co-occurring Disorders.
Partial Hospitalization
Partial Hospitalization is an intensive Day Treatment Program for individuals who require a high level of support and structure, but not 24-hour supervision. Patients participate in treatment during daytime hours, Monday through Friday. This level of care may be recommended when outpatient treatment is not sufficient to contain risk, stabilize symptoms, or as a transition from inpatient to help reintegrate the patient to community treatment.

Fairfax Hospital is the only Inpatient facility that provides short-term crisis treatment for Co-occurring Disorders (treating mental health and substance abuse concurrently) including Medical detoxification and stabilization. Patients participate in an active therapeutic treatment model designed to move them forward in their recovery.
